Instead of being a paste, this toothpaste is a gel. Basically this entire means is that the gel comes out of the tube easier and does not fall of your toothbrush as easily. My family actually likes the fact that the gel falls into the bristles rather than falling off on the first few teeth that is brushed. Gel makes brushing ones' teeth easier and more refreshing. We are not sure if we can return to paste instead of gel after using our first tube of Tom's Natural Toothpaste gel.

The flavor is just as satisfying. One can tell that the company uses all natural real flavor oils in the gel, instead of artificial sweeteners like saccharin. In fact, the oils are so refreshing; it leaves your teeth feeling drier than normal toothpaste such as Colgate. This dry feeling makes the mouth feel a little cotton for a few moments but the goes away shortly afterwards. We have found that this gel actually helps with bad morning breath also. We believe it is due to the wonderful natural oils used in the product.

Similar to other dental cleaning products on the market, Tom's Orange-Mango Toothpaste gel fights cavities, controls tartar and gently whitens without bleaching ingredients or harsh abrasives. Each member of my family found that our teeth look whiter after one week of using this product compared to other products on the market.

So, my family suggests using Tom's Orange Mango Natural Toothpaste gel if you are looking for something with taste and excellent cleaning capabilities. If the product were not enough, one can be assured that purchasing from Tom's of Maine is helping out the community and is a good purchase since each time you purchase a tube of gel, the company has promised to give back 10% of its profits and 5% of paid employee time to communities in need.
