Use Peppermint, Lemon and Honey to Treat Summer Respiratory Ailments This Summer - Health Centre -5AI9.COM

One of the greatest hazards of being outdoors during the summertime is allergies to pollen, dusts, and other environmental and summer heat related factors which can impede the body's ability to breathe by blocking nasal and respiratory passages. During the summer months, people spend hundreds of dollars on both over the counter and prescription drugs to treat these seasonal breathing ailments. One of the greatest home remedies I have found for curing these summer related breathing ailments is to use a natural mixture of dissolved peppermint, lemon, and honey. You can use this remedy either by drinking one to two tablespoons, or as a gargle to clear the upper respiratory passages of the nose and throat.

To prepare the dissolved peppermint, lemon and honey, mix together one cup lemon juice, one fourth cup of light honey, and four or five pieces of hard peppermint candy. Bring the candy to a rolling bowl in a saucepan on the stove. After you boil the mixture for five minutes, remove from the pan from the stove and allow cooling to room temperature. After the mixture has cooled to room temperature, pour it into a jar.

To effectively use the peppermint, lemon honey mixture, take one to two teaspoons twice a day, such as in the morning before leaving for work and in the evening as soon as you come home from work. The ingredients and vitamin content of the lemon and honey work naturally to loosen mucous and other substances from the respiratory tract to provide relief from the dust of the outdoors.

To use the peppermint, lemon, honey mixture as a gargle, heat a small amount in a microwave safe small shot glass for five seconds in the microwave. After removing from the microwave, gargle with the solution for 30 seconds to one minute. When you are finished gargling spit the contents into the sink and washes down the drain. This works to remove hardened dust particles, pollen, and other irritants from the upper respiratory tract.

This home remedy for summertime reparatory conditions is easy to use, easy to make, and easy to take along with you when you go to a summer picnic or a day on the lake with friends. Because of the natural ingredients contained in this home remedy, it is safe to use every day, and will also help to keep you hydrated during the summer months when you spend lots of time outdoors.
