Eat That- Or All of This
How carefully selecting what you put in your mouth can save you calories; pounds
We've all been there. It's a bright and shiny morning and you feel bloated and fat. You know you've probably put on few pounds since you stepped on the scale (which you've been diligently avoiding for weeks now) last, but you decide to take the step onto the scale, or as we like to call it in my house, the 'tear-maker'- to see what the damage truly is. In a bout of courage and curiosity, hoping for the best, you step onto the box. You look up at the ceiling and take a deep breath, then look down at the display, fingers crossed. You exhale and sigh, uncross your fingers, and scream a few select words at the doughnuts on the counter next to you. You were prepared for one or two, but five? Ten? Fifteen? What the heck have you done to yourself?
You ask yourself how you could have possibly gained that much weight. After all, you haven't exactly been overeating- you've been consuming three meals a day and the occasional snack. Alright, so your eating plan isn't exactly healthy- but it isn't unhealthy either, right? I mean yeah, you've eaten your share of fast food in the past few weeks, but it's not like you've binged on an entire birthday cake. Let's take a look at you've been eating for six random meals. You might be surprised at what you're really consuming. Also, we'll include some healthier choices that will save you mucho calories and fat grams.

Now that you've seen what you're really eating, you can make better decisions to eat healthier. Perhaps the reason why your pants aren't zipping anymore is also a bit more clear in your mind. With a little math and a lot of common sense, we can consume less calories and fat without cutting out the flavors of our favorite foods. Oh, and this comparison doesn't focus much on vegetable or fruit intake, either- so make sure you're getting plenty of those to stay healthy and manage your weight as well. So, next time you're about to order your 'regular'- you might want to consider what your 'regular' really consists of.
